High Desert Home Care also offers a virtual care solution that can provide additional support between caregiver visits.

Virtual care is included when we have a caregiver scheduled to provide in-person care. It can also be established as a stand-alone service for someone who is not ready to have a caregiver in the home.

Virtual care may be helpful for individuals who need regular check-ins, reminders or an added connection with their care team while continuing to live independently.

We offer flexible schedules, including short shifts.

In most situations, there is no required minimum visit length. Some restrictions may apply depending on the payer source, requested schedule and employee availability.

There is no long-term contract for our services.

We generally establish a recurring weekly schedule based on the client’s requested days and times. We match that request as closely as possible based on caregiver availability and the skills required.

Schedules can be adjusted when care needs change.

Returning home after hospitalization or rehabilitation can be difficult for both the individual and the family.

We frequently provide temporary home care during this transition. An initial schedule may last from a few weeks to several months, depending on the person’s recovery and support needs.

Care may include:

• Help with bathing and dressing
• Meal preparation
• Transportation to follow-up appointments
• Mobility assistance
• Light housekeeping and laundry
• Companionship and supervision
• Support with the daily recovery routine

The schedule can be increased or reduced as recovery progresses.

We provide individualized care for people living with dementia and other conditions that affect memory, judgment or behavior.

Because each person’s symptoms, routines and behaviors are different, we develop the care plan around the individual rather than using a standard approach.

We also provide:

• Respite visits to give family caregivers time away
• Overnight care
• Extended daily schedules
• 24-hour care
• Companionship and safety supervision

Availability depends on the requested schedule and the caregivers whose training and experience match the situation.

Our caregivers are regular W-2 employees of High Desert Home Care.

Our onboarding process includes:

• A background check through the Nevada Department of Public Safety
• A Nevada-approved caregiver training curriculum
• A drug screening
• Orientation and ongoing supervision

High Desert Home Care is fully licensed, bonded and insured.

Employing our caregivers directly allows us to oversee their hiring, training, scheduling and performance.

We may be able to begin care immediately in some situations.

More commonly, care can begin within one to two weeks. The timing depends on:

• Current caregiver availability
• The requested days and hours
• The number and length of visits
• The level of care required
• The experience and skills needed

We will discuss timing honestly during your consultation and explain what scheduling options are currently available.

Our Southern Nevada home care rates generally range from $32 to $45 per hour.

High Desert Home Care rates are based on the length of the requested visit. We do not increase the hourly rate based on the level of care required, time of day or day of the week.
